FIGC Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné heard three Roma witnesses on Friday morning while the Giallorossi have lodged an appeal against José Mourinho’s two-match ban after incidents with fourth official Marco Serra.

The FIGC has opened an investigation following Mourinho’s complaints in the aftermath of Roma’s 2-1 loss against Cremonese on Tuesday.

Chiné heard the Special One on Thursday while Serra, the fourth official at the Stadio Zini, is currently in Coverciano and will sit down with the FIGC prosecutor today, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Rome-based paper reports three Roma staff members who witnessed the argument between Mourinho and Serra, both on the touchline and in the dressing room, spoke to Chiné on Friday morning.

Among them were Roma’s Chief Football Operating Officer Maurizio Lombardo and Vito Scala, who Il Corriere dello Sport mentioned on Thursday as one of the witnesses of the dressing room row involving Mourinho and Serra.

The Portuguese coach said after the match on Tuesday that he could take legal action against Serra and wanted to hear the audio of their confrontation on the touchline.

AIA argued that no audio was available, but a video on social media appeared to show Serra telling Mourinho ‘Go home’ after he had been sent off at the beginning of the second half.

Roma have appealed against Mourinho’s two-match ban, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the club’s attempt will hardly be successful also due to the coach’s poor disciplinary record this season with the Special One, who has already seen red three times.
