Aaron Ramsey has only played five games with Juventus this season and with the Bianconeri looking to offload him in January, the former Arsenal man may not play with the Serie A giants ever again.

His agent met the Bianconeri directors last week and although the two parties are not considering ending the player’s contract by mutual agreement, Juventus want to sell the 30-year-old who is among the highest earners at the club with a €7m-a-year salary.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2023.

Massimiliano Allegri has deployed him mainly as a deep-lying playmaker, a role that the former Arsenal man doesn’t quite enjoy.

Ramsey wasn’t even on the bench due to muscular problems in seven of Juventus’ last eight Serie A games.

Federico Chiesa, Danilo, Giorgio Chiellini, Paulo Dybala are also out of action and during a press conference on Monday, Allegri said they will return to group training on December 30.

However, the coach almost forgot to mention Ramsey, saying: ‘We’ll see how he does, he is still injured.”

Oddly, Ramsey scored three goals in the last four games played with Wales between October and November. He sustained a new injury upon his return to Turin after his last match with his national team.

Ramsey played his last Juventus game on October 20 against Zenit in the Champions League. With the January transfer window just around the corner, that could have been his final match in a Bianconeri shirt.

10 thought on “Will Ramsey play for Juventus ever again?”
  1. Short answer: Yes.

Why? Because nobody is fool enough to pay that kind of wage + agent fee for a mostly injured player.

  2. ALWAYS injured for Juve. But incredibly, he managed to play games for Wales and score goals! Unbelievable cheat. Money grabber.
The sooner he leaves the better.
Juve need to be more careful in future with these Bosman signings. Rabiot and Ramsey are two of the worst players but get HUGE HUGE wages.

  3. Huge in italian terms, common in english. He spoke about too much training at juve hurt him. He need more rest during the week and it wont happen in turin

  4. @I MISS JUVENTUS IN SERIE B: nobody is fool enough to pay that kind of wage + agent fee for a mostly injured player ?? what about (drum roll please) ALEXIS SANCHEZ ?? Plays more for Chile than Inter and usually returns injured from International Duty ? that’s EXACTLY like Ramsey wouldn’t you agree ???

But then again, you think paying 26 million + Zaniolo for a 30 year old alcoholic is a good deal !!!

  5. @I MISS MARCO BRANCA AT INTER That was 24m plus Zaniolo, who missed at least one and half season recently at Roma plus deadwood player, Santon. At least Radja contributed with his goals that sent Inter to the UCL and against Juve. Fast forward to 2019, Inter signed Barella with less than 50m, yet Juve signed Ramsey. How much did juve pay for Arthur btw?

  6. You would think their is some clause that won’t allow you to play for your national team if you aren’t fit for the club.

  7. @I MISS MARCO BRANCA AT INTER: You keep bringing up Nainggolan topic, which has already been explained by me on a previous article so I won`t repeat myself. What you forget to mention is that the club managed to sell Santon for 9.5m LOL.

Sanchez is indeed nowadays irrtatting the club, so he won`t last for long. But last year he proved useful and unlocked some defences, unlike Ramsey.

Sanchez did contribute to winning the league!

I`m personally happy to see him on the pitch, always a pleasure to watch – whenever fit.

This season following the departure of Eriksen and Lukaku he became the highest earner, so naturally his wage VS contribution is not considered justified any more.
