Domenico Berardi was furious after SassuoloRoma yesterday and confronted José Mourinho twice before entering the tunnel.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Italy international’s reaction was triggered by a Roma staff member who accused him of diving.

A few minutes before the end of the match, Berardi had come into contact with Marash Kumbulla and fell on the floor in pain, touching his face. The Roma defender accused him of overreacting and the Italy international was replaced in the last five minutes. Berardi confronted José Mourinho for the first time while on his way to the Sassuolo bench.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho probably asked the 27-year-old ‘more sporting behaviour.’

However, it was not the end of the story as the winger once again approached Mourinho after the final whistle. This time, the Special One tried to calm Berardi down.

It wasn’t easy as even Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi struggled to get Berardi away from the former Inter and Manchester United coach but eventually managed to let him inside the tunnel avoiding further consequences.
