Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio trolled his ex-coach Antonio Conte on Instagram: ‘I remember that pitch well, sorry mister…’

Conte returned to Arezzo earlier this week to receive an award and posted some pictures from the Amaranto’s Stadium after an event on Tuesday. The Italian tactician had started his coaching career in the Tuscan town in 2006 when Arezzo were playing in Serie B.

They faced Juventus twice in 2006-07 as the Bianconeri had been relegated to the second division following the Calciopoli scandal. The Old Lady mathematically earned Serie A promotion on May 19, 2007, with a 5-1 away win against Conte’s side.

Marchisio was a promising midfielder from the Bianconeri’s youth sector and collected 25 Serie B appearances that season.

Arezzo were eventually relegated to Serie C in 2006-07 as Juventus lost the final game of the season at home against Spezia. The Liguria-based side were Arezzo’s direct rivals in the race for survival and their surprising win in Turin sent the Granata to the third division.

Marchisio would play 106 Juventus games under Conte from 2011 until 2014, scoring 19 goals and winning three Serie A titles.
