Inter are pushing to make a move for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, wanting to beat out competition from Roma and Juventus.

The 23-year-old Italian is destined to leave the Neroverdi this summer after an impressive six-year spell in Reggio-Emilia. Wanted by a number of clubs both in Italy and abroad, Frattesi is already one of the hottest talking points of the summer transfer window.

Roma and Juventus have both had their sights set on Frattesi for a while, but are now facing serious competition from Inter, who met with Sassuolo’s directors on Tuesday evening.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how the dinner between Inter and Sassuolo’s representatives went well, with the two clubs having an excellent working relationship. The talks were positive and could now lead the Nerazzurri to speeding up their efforts to secure Frattesi’s signature.

The Italian midfielder has already given the green light to a move to Simone Inzaghi’s side, who may need to generate some resources through a sale before pulling the trigger on a deal.
