France released video of their squad celebrations in the locker room after beating Poland in the World Cup, but Olivier Giroud missed out on a special reception.

The Milan striker set a new all-time record as the top scorer in France’s history with 52 goals, beating the previous tally of Thierry Henry.

Kylian MbappΓ© then bagged a brace for the final 3-1 score, which set up a quarter-final against England to be played on Saturday.

According to La Provence, the France team had planned a special surprise to celebrate Giroud’s record in the locker room.

However, as you can see from the video released by the Federation, Giroud was not there, as he was chosen for a doping test and not allowed to join in until he had completed it.
