Yunus Musah has signed his contract with Milan after completing a series of medical tests, making the transfer from Valencia for €20m including add-ons.

The deal was struck with the Spanish side for €18m guaranteed, plus another €2m in performance-related bonuses.

He flew in this week and had his medical with both Milan and the CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) today before arriving at Casa Milan to put pen to paper.

The contract runs to June 2028.

“AC Milan is pleased to announce the signing of Yunus Musah on a permanent basis. The midfielder has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2028. 

“Born in New York on 29 November 2002, Yunus came through the Arsenal academy before transferring to Valencia in 2019. For the Spaniards, he played one season with the B team before being promoted to the First Team. He made his debut in September 2020, eventually making 108 appearances with 5 goals. He has earned 27 appearances with the USA National Team, with whom he has won 2 CONCACAF Nations League titles. 

“Yunus Musah will wear the number 80.”

It is a return to Italy for the USA international, who lived in the Peninsula as a child and played for the Giorgione amateur team from 2008 to 2012.

That is why he has four passports, giving him citizenship of the USA, England, Ghana and Italy.

The 20-year-old midfielder has 24 senior caps for the USMNT and played for Arsenal at youth level before the free transfer to Valencia in 2019.

Musah is the eighth summer signing for the Rossoneri.
