Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara volunteered at the Opera San Francesco in Milan today, helping to feed hot meals to those less fortunate.

The Rossoneri wanted to give back to the local community and celebrate the Christmas spirit, so the two directors visited the Opera San Francesco to meet with the locals and share some hot food.

Maldini discussed the initiative, saying: “I was born a few hundred metres from here, this is an area that I consider home, and knowing that I can count on an organisation like Opera San Francesco gives a lot of hope. For us it was a moving experience, which can help anyone to keep their feet on the ground and get to know the reality of our city in depth.”

Massara added: “We have to thank Opera San Francesco and its volunteers for the quality of the services they offer, thanks to them, people who are going through a difficult time can feel welcome, at home. Being able to lend a hand is something that fills our hearts.”

The Milan squad are currently preparing for the second half of the season. Their first game of 2023 is against Salernitana on January 4.
