Federico Chiesa is close to returning to action after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in January and his work in Juventus’ training sessions gives confidence to the club.

The 24-year-old Italian forward has been sidelined since January 9, when he suffered the serious knee injury during a 4-3 win over Roma. Since then Chiesa has been slowly working on his recovery and is hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action before the World Cup break next month.

Chiesa is now training with increased intensity and in training today looked confident and calm as he took multiple shots on goal, a good sign as he works toward full fitness.
