According to AS.com, a ‘top Premier League club, presumably, Manchester United’ were in talks with Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic in January, while Real Madrid consider a move for the summer.

The Spanish outlet quotes sources ‘directly involved’ in negotiations between the Old Lady and a top English club in January. The report claims it was presumably Manchester United who were looking for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo after his exit in December.

The Serbia international is seen as a potential reinforcement for Real Madrid in 2023-24 with the Merengues’ board informed about the striker’s situation in Turin as well as Juventus’ negotiations during the winter transfer window.

The La Liga giants are reportedly monitoring the striker closely, knowing that Juventus may be forced to sell to balance the books at the end of the season. According to the report, Vlahovic’s price tag in January was €120-130m.

Il Corriere dello Sport widely reported that Premier League clubs were interested in Vlahovic during the January window adding that Juventus won’t sell their striker for less than €90m at the end of the season.

The Merengues may be looking for a new striker in the summer even if Carlo Ancelotti has recently claimed that Karim Benzema will extend his expiring contract at the Bernabeu.
