Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria were not the only new Juventus signings on target as Federico Gatti also scored for Frosinone over the weekend.

Vlahovic and Zakaria joined the Old Lady in the January transfer window from Fiorentina and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively, but the Bianconeri also signed Federico Gatti from Frosinone.

The 23-year-old signed with the Serie A giants for a reported €9-10m fee but has remained on loan at Frosinone until the end of the season.

Just like Vlahovic and Zakaria, Gatti scored a goal in his first game after his signature with Juventus.

The Italy centre-back found the net in Frosinone’s 2-0 win over Vincenza on Saturday. It was his fourth goal in Serie B in 2021-22.

The promising centre-defender was on the verge of joining Torino, but the Old Lady hijacked the Granata’s bid to secure his services.

“Federico was not a Juventus player one year ago but still put in brilliant performances,” said Frosinone coach Fabio Grosso, a former Juventus and Italy defender, said at a post-match press conference.

“He needs time and we must accept his mistakes because it’s only by making errors that one improves.

“He has a great mentality and room for improvement. I am happy with his performance because it was not easy for him.”
