Crystal Palace coach Patrick Vieira praises Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey and believes the Welshman could ‘improve a lot of teams in the Premier League.’

Ramsey is expected to leave Juventus in the January transfer window.

The former Arsenal man is struggling with playing time under Massimiliano Allegri and the Bianconeri coach confirmed on Wednesday that Ramsey is on his way out of the club.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League, but he has reportedly snubbed a move to Burnley. Crystal Palace could be the Wales international’s next destination, and coach Vieira has confirmed his interest in the Juventus outcast.

“I think when you look at his pedigree and look at his experience, I think he will improve a lot of teams in the Premier League,” he said at a pre-match press conference as quoted by Football London.

“I like the player. I like a lot of players. But you look like you know more than me about his availability. Obviously, he is a terrific player and I think he can do well for a lot of teams in the Premier League.”

Ramsey joined Juventus on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2019 and is one of the highest earners at the Allianz Stadium.

His contract in Turin runs out in June 2023 and he is not open to terminating it by mutual agreement.

Ramsey has scored six goals in 70 appearances with the Bianconeri.
