Juventus announce that Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic will get new squad numbers from next season.
The Serbian striker will wear the No.9 following Alvaro Morata’s departure. He had picked No.7 when he joined Juventus in January, justifying his choice by saying it was the closest to No.9.
With Morata back to Atletico after the end of his two-year loan, the No.9 was available again.
Chiesa, who has been treating a severe knee injury since January, picked the number dropped by his teammate and will be wearing Juventus’ No.7 from next season.
The No.10 hasn’t been taken by any member of the current Juventus squad and according to Tuttosport, new signing Paul Pogba will pick it for 2022-23.
