Milan defender Fikayo Tomori believes 2021 was the best year of his career but warns his teammates about Roma and their striker Tammy Abraham.

Tomori joined Milan on an initial loan deal from Chelsea one year ago. The Rossoneri eventually made his move permanent for €25m in the summer.

The former Blues defender looked back at his first year at Milanello in an interview with Milan TV.

“Maybe it’s been the best year of my career, I managed to play for Milan, in the Champions League, I am happy with everything, the club, the city, the fans,” he said.

“I am really happy. It’s been a year already, it’s crazy.”

Tomorrow, the Rossoneri host José Mourinho’s Roma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

At the end of October, Stefano Pioli’s side won the reverse fixture 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

“Roma are a very good squad, they are chasing Champions League places, we know we have to be ready, we expect a difficult game, but if we play at our best we have good chances of winning,” Tomori said.

“I know Tammy [Abraham] very well ,so I know the danger they have. We need to stop them and play our game so we can win.”
