Four more Bologna players tested positive for COVID, so tomorrow’s game against Inter is at risk. ‘I am coaching the Primavera team,’ said the Rossoblu coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The Rossoblu now have eight players out of action. Gary Medel, Emanuel Vignato, Federico Santander and Sydney Van Hooijdonk are the latest Rossoblu players to have been placed in isolation after a positive swab test.

Only Medel trained with the team yesterday. Vignato had missed the last few training sessions due to fever, same as Van Hooijdonk, while Santander is still in Paraguay.

“I’ve always said that we are a positive group, but I didn’t expect it to become viral,” Mihajlovic said at a press conference on the eve of tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Inter, which, according to La Repubblica, is in doubt.

“Things change from day to day,” the former defender added. “Every day, there is a new absentee and we need to start from the beginning. However, I am not looking for excuses, we’ll send 11 players to the pitch.

“We were inferior to Inter even with all players available, so whoever goes on the pitch must play a great game.

“Right now, I am the highest-paid coach in the world, I get a lot of money to coach the Primavera team. We’ll prepare the game and then we’ll see what happens.”

Lega Serie A won’t postpone games due to an already packed fixture list.

However, local health authorities could bar single teams from playing or travelling. That’s what happened with Salernitana who have been ordered into quarantine and won’t face Venice tomorrow.

Four more Serie A games are in doubt, including JuventusNapoli and FiorentinaUdinese.
