Daniel Maldini’s goodbyes to Milan players appears to shock midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko by surprise.

A clip on TikTok shows Maldini shaking hands with his Rossoneri team-mates ahead of his loan move to Speiza.

But when he explains the situation to Bakayoko, the on-loan Chelsea midfielder appears completely surprised at the news.

Bakayoko, who was initially sitting down, stands up to hug Maldini and wish him well.

Maldini, son of Milan director and legend Paolo, had previously been linked with Hellas Verona but his move to Spezia is likely to be confirmed soon.

  1. Bakayoko is as great guy. The only person he ever had conflict with was his biggest advocate Gattuso! Hoping for more of a contribution from him this season.

  2. Hoping we won’t have to see him anywhere near Milan this season. Being a great guy has nothing to do with the terrible player he is. One just needs to watch one of the preseason friendlies to grasp the depth of his incompetence.

He has no business playing for this Milan.

  3. I thought his lo.an was being cut and he was heading back to Chelsea. Maybe he’s being kept around in case we don’t sign another CM. If that is the case he better be behind Pobega in the rankings. He better be behind my grandmother in the rankings and she’s dead.

  4. Bakayoko had a couple a great seasons: one at Monaco and one at Milan the first time. He’s the same human being so we need to figure out how to get him to play at that level not what we’ve seen during this stint. Maybe with Kessie gone he might be able to recover his form.
