Milan striker Olivier Giroud had to receive treatment after scoring a goal in France’s training session today.

France’s medical staff rushed to the pitch after seeing the Rossoneri star lying on the ground in pain, holding his left foot.

Even Les Blues’ coach Didier Deschamps joined the doctors to ensure Giroud’s injury was not severe.

The 36-year-old received treatment for barely a minute but then continued training.

He had spoken at a press conference before today’s session, saying he was as motivated as in his first World Cup.

Giroud will wear France’s No.9 in Qatar.

The ex-Chelsea and Arsenal striker has bagged nine goals in 19 appearances at a club level this term.
