Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic insisted he wants to continue playing after winning a Player Career Award in Dubai and joked with Wayne Rooney, seemingly referring to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent comments: ‘Wazza, I look sharp or not?’

Ibra, Rooney and Romario all won a Player Career Award at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, but the Swede is still in activity and insisted that he wants to continue playing.

He is currently out of action with a knee injury and is expected to be back in January.

During an interview on stage with Sergio Ramos, Ibra said that he is ‘as sharp as a knife’ and then looked at his former teammate Wayne Rooney sitting in the audience, laughing and asking: ‘Wazza, [do] I look sharp or not?’

The ex-England striker had released an interview with Sky Sport Italia a few minutes earlier but refused to comment on Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent claims.

The ex-Juventus forward strongly had criticised Rooney in his latest interview with Piers Morgan.

“I don’t know why he [Rooney] criticises me so badly… probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level,” the Portuguese star said.

“I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true…”

  1. If anything Rooney should support Ronaldo or distant himself from his issues owing to their time together at Manchester

  2. I loved CR7 to bits that was before he chose to be an AH by blaming everyone who doesn’t agree with him, especially ETH.

  3. I think CR7 was right to say it, in a long run , many will benefit from his exposure, but truth hurts. He’s given plenty to soccer, total disrespect and abuse of power from the coach that in a couple of years nobody will even remember, but Cristiano Ronaldo’s name will stay forever.
