Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was so furious with Angel Di Maria in the final minutes of Juventus-Lazio that he stormed off the pitch before the final whistle.

The Bianconeri secured a 1-0 win against Lazio in Turin on Wednesday night, but Allegri was unhappy with how the Argentinean star managed possession in the final minutes and angrily walked inside the tunnel minutes before the final whistle.

Di Maria had received the ball from Fabio Miretti but rather than keep possession, he tried to assist Moise Kean, surrounded by Lazio defenders.

Allegri didn’t take it well and left the pitch fuming. He then explained his reaction at a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia.

“In those moments, you must understand the game and the ball must be handled differently.”
