Nicolò Fagioli scored his debut Serie A goal with a finish Alex Del Piero would’ve been proud of and a celebration reminiscent of Marco Tardelli in the 1982 World Cup Final.

The 21-year-old had never found the net before in the top flight and came off the bench for Weston McKennie at the Stadio Via del Mare.

It was still goalless against Lecce when he gathered from fellow youth team player Samuel Iling Junior and curled a right-foot stunner into the far top corner, where Wladimiro Falcone had no chance.

Fagioli, a lifelong Juventus fan and club youth product, burst into tears while screaming in celebration.

  1. it was, great technique – imagine if that fell for the nfl player – seat row z or maybe higher and longer

  2. Great goal but very lucky as Lecce hit the post. If this were a superior bush leaguer side, the 7/9 would have lost. No surprise when you have Roberto Carlos and Cafu as your back up generators.
