Verona striker Matteo Cancellieri is undergoing his medical with Lazio ahead of a permanent move to the Stadio Olimpico.
The 20-year-old is a product of Roma academy. He made his Serie A debut in 2021-22, collecting 12 appearances and one goal with Verona. His first goal in Serie A came in an away 1-1 draw at Empoli in March.
A versatile forward, Cancellieri can play as a support striker or a right winger, the role he is expected to play under Maurizio Sarri at Lazio.
The Biancocelesti will sign him permanently for €7m plus €1.5m add-ons.
He arrived at Rome’s Clinica Paideia in the early afternoon. Here’s the video of his arrival at the private clinic in the capital.
