Inter continue to celebrate Romelu Lukaku’s return on social media: ‘That homecoming feeling…’
The Belgian striker is back in the black and blue side of Milan ten months after his €113m transfer to Chelsea. The 29-year-old struggled to settle in at Stamford Bridge, where he scored only 15 goals in 44 appearances under Thomas Tuchel.
His tense relationship with the German coach is one of the reasons why Lukaku left Chelsea after just one season, although his move to Inter is on loan and not on a permanent deal.
Lukaku admitted on Wednesday that he feels at home at Inter and that he had been in touch with Simone Inzaghi during the last campaign. He will wear No. 90 in 2022-23. Inter continue to celebrate his comeback on social media, with several pictures of the striker, called ‘a true interista’ who has finally returned home.

Really astute business from Marotta and if it does not work out, they can send him back. Genius for getting Chelsea to pay his salary as well. Now he can be at ease knowing that he will destroy the opponents in this farmers league.
I love kids that think “Farmer’s League” is an insult.
