Arturo Vidal is not afraid to pronounce the word ‘Scudetto’ and insists Juventus remain the most credible contenders for the title.

The Nerazzurri have seven Serie A wins in a row and are one point behind table leaders Milan.

“I am not afraid to pronounce the world Scudetto, I’ve won many trophies in Germany and in Spain. Inter need to work every day, focus on one game at a time. We’ll see if we’ll be good enough to win the title,” the Chilean midfielder told Sky Sport.

“I am not afraid to pronounce the world Scudetto, I’ve won many trophies in Germany and in Spain. Inter need to work every day, focus on one game at a time. We’ll see if we’ll be good enough to win the title,” the Chilean midfielder told Sky Sport.

“Last year Inter came close to winning the Scudetto. They had a young team that worked hard, but they made mistakes on decisive moments.

“For this reason, we have to be careful this season, really focused. It’s a difficult time but we have to pull out all the maximum and make fewer mistakes than last year to achieve our goal, which is to win the Scudetto.”

Inter have alredy been eliminated from the Champions League.

“My dream is to win the Champions League, but it’s difficult. This is a new project, there are young players who are hungry to win something. I am very sad for the elimination, but we have two more targets.

“We wanted to do well in that competition. We played a lot of games after the elimination, we wanted to earn points and prove who we are. The important thing is to work well, because we know this season is going to be hard,” the former Barcelona star added.

Vidal believes his ex-club Juventus are the most credible contenders to win the title, even if the Old Lady are ten points off Milan.

“They are strong, they have confidence in what they do, they have won for nine years in a row. They have everything to confirm themselves as the strongest team this year,” Vidal said.

“I spent four seasons at Juventus, it was beautiful, I could talk about the Bianconeri for a week, but now I’m focused on the future.

“I never had any contact with Juventus, but I’ve always kept in touch with [Antonio] Conte, even before joining Inter, we talked about going to another team. I had this opportunity and I said: 'Yes, I want to follow you and do my best to win together again.’”
