Arturo Vidal has invited fellow countryman David Pizarro of Roma to join him at Juventus this month.

The playmaker has been associated with a possible January move to Turin given that he isn’t in the first team plans of Luis Enrique.

Juve are interested as they see him as cover for Andrea Pirlo and they recently made enquiries while agreeing the transfer of Marco Borriello.

“We’re all waiting for Borriello with open arms, but it’ll be very nice if Pizarro arrived too,” Vidal told Sky Sport Italia.

Vidal joined the Turin giants in the summer in a €10.5m deal from Bayer Leverkusen and he’s been a regular since Juve boss Antonio Conte opted to use three central midfielders.

“I don’t know if Conte change the system to fit me in, but it’s great to be able to play alongside Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio.

“We have a great midfield, one that is only beaten by Barcelona and Real Madrid.”

The Chilean international was wanted by a variety of outfits after the 2011 Copa America, but Juve were his first choice.

“I chose Juve because I knew that we would have the chance to win the Scudetto,” he concluded.

The Old Lady, who play Lecce on Sunday, are currently joint top of the Serie A standings along with Milan.
