There is another serious knee injury for a Hellas Verona striker, as after losing Thomas Henry for the season, today Milan Djuric went under the knife.

Djuric had started last night’s 1-0 win over Salernitana at the Stadio Bentegodi before limping off with a knee issue.

It was confirmed today with a statement from the club that Djuric was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in the right knee and has already undergone meniscectomy surgery at the Humanitas clinic in Rozzano.

The centre-forward is expected to be out of action for at least a couple of months.

It is another issue for Verona, who already saw Henry ruled out for the rest of the season by a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Fortunately for the club, they signed two strikers during the January transfer window, Adolfo Gaich and Cyril Ngonge.

Belgian forward Ngonge has made an immediate impression in Serie A, scoring in each of his two starts.
