The attacking midfielder spoke openly about his future today, as well as targeting a place in Italy’s Euro 2016 squad.

“For now I must think about keeping Palermo up, then one day I’d like to play with Dybala again,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He’s a friend and we did great things together at the Rosanero.

“The national team? Of course I’m hoping for a call up. I respect Conte’s choices but I definitely want to wear the Azzurri shirt again.

“Schelotto? He doesn’t need advice from me, he’s a leader and wants to make his mark.

“My future? First I’ll save Palermo and then we’ll see. I can’t decide whether I go to Juventus, Milan, Inter or another big team.

“I don’t know what will happen, but Zamparini will do the best for the team.

“My heir? I’d say Quaison.”
