Cristiano Ronaldo is on the bench for Udinese vs. Juventus and according to Sky Sport Italia it was a request from the Portuguese star who still hopes to leave the Bianconeri.

Ronaldo will start the season on the bench at the Dacia Arena against Udinese.

It kicks off at 17.30 UK time, you can follow the match live here.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United ace asked to be omitted from the Bianconeri’s starting XI as he is still seeking an escape route from the Allianz Stadium this summer.

Ronaldo sees his contract expire in June 2022, but his agent Jorge Mendes has been offering him to many top clubs around Europe during the summer transfer window.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri claimed on Saturday that Ronaldo has never told him he wants to leave Turin in the summer.

The Portuguese star ended the 2020-21 Serie A campaign in the same way as he spent the whole game against Bologna on the bench.

Juventus haven’t received any official bid for the 36-year-old yet.

  1. Wtf is happening, very strange things, I really hopped to see ronaldo last season here, its no where would be better for him, something wrong inside team

  2. The club really needs to explain the situation here as they’re saying one thing and their actions – along with CR7’s – is saying another. Stop playing us for idiots and just explain the situation. If a player has asked to leave, then tell us, CR7 is no different from any other player.
