Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker has been linked with a move to Milan, but Milannews explains that the 32-year-old does ‘not suit’ RedBird’s parameters.

The England international’s contract expires in June 2024 and talks over a new deal have not begun yet. The Times reported earlier this week that the Rossoneri are considering making an offer for the experienced right-back to bolster Stefano Pioli’s option in defence pairing with captain Davide Calabria.

‘Technically, he would be a great addition, thanks to his charisma and international experience. Walker has been one of the best right-backs in the world for the last few years,’ argued Milannews in Italy.

However, the age and salary of the England international are seen as obstacles in potential negotiations between the Serie A giants and the Manchester City defender.

His profile does not suit RedBird’s parameters. Walker is 32 and earns more than €9m gross. This is why, according to the report, the Englishman’s transfer to the Stadio Meazza in the summer remains unlikely.
