Juventus have released their financial statement for 2021-22, revealing the actual costs of their latest transfers, salaries of directors Pavel Nedved and Maurizio Arrivabene and a €3.5m fine from UEFA.

The Serie A giants released their financial statement for the last season on Thursday night, along with a letter by President Andrea Agnelli, where he outlined a five-point plan for getting the club back to financial sustainability and sporting credibility.

There are a few interesting insights in the long and detailed document released by Bianconeri, including the real costs of transfers over last summer and the salaries of directors.

Salaries

Arrivabene gets circa €1m per year and reaches €1.22m with non-monetary benefits. The ex-Ferrari Team Principal is the highest-paid director at Continassa, followed by President Andrea Agnelli who gets €520,000, including non-monetary benefits, slightly more than Nedved’s €514,000.

Transfers

Even if the financial statement concerns the financial year that ended this past June, there are details of transfers that occurred after June 30. It emerges that Gleison Bremer joined the club for €42.9m including accessory costs, plus €8m add-ons, so the final fee could be €51m.

Andrea Cambiaso, who joined Bologna on loan after his permanent move to Juventus, was signed for €8.9m plus €3m add-ons, while Filipo Kostic moved to Turin for €13.4m plus potential €3m add-ons.

Therefore, Juventus have registered these three signings for €50.9m (Bremer), €11.9 (Cambiaso) and €16.4m for Kostic.

UEFA fine

Juventus also confirm a €3.5m fine from UEFA for not respecting the parameters of the Financial Fair Play for the period 2019-22.

The club specify that they would get more financial penalties if they fail to stick to the parameters for the following three-year period and could face further consequences, such as registering a limited number of players for UEFA competitions, ‘in case of particularly significant deviations beyond further specific thresholds.’
