Torino did not take up their option to buy Rolando Mandragora from Juventus, so he is on the verge of a move to Fiorentina instead.

The midfielder had been on loan with the Granata since February 2021 and there was an option to buy at the end of this season for a total €14m, but Toro requested a discount and tried to negotiate it down.

Juventus refused to go below €10.5m, whereas their city rivals at most reached €9m between the loan fee and buy-out clause.

Mandragora made 23 competitive appearances for Toro this season, contributing one goal and two assists.

Sassuolo were also interested, but RAI Sport Toscana claim a deal is imminent with Fiorentina for the sale.

He turns 25 later this week and has been on the Juventus books since 2016, going on various loans to Pescara, Crotone, Udinese and Torino, but his career was affected by several injuries.

His contract with the Bianconeri runs to June 2025.

4 thought on “Torino talks fail, Juve send Mandragora to Fiorentina”
  1. Juve should give Mandragora one opportunity to play with its team. I think he is better than many of the midfielders Juve has right now.

  2. @cris – i disagree – hes bang on average and hes 24yrs old – not young, sell him and use miretti this season

  3. All these young players will continue to be “bang on average” unless their parent teams give them a chance to play 90 mins
