Torino President Urbano Cairo insists defender Bremer ‘is staying with us’ in January, despite interest from Milan, Inter, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham.

The Brazilian’s current contract is due to expire in June 2023 and he is attracting a lot of attention on the transfer market.

Leaving the Lega Serie A meeting today, Toro President Cairo was asked by Tuttomercatoweb whether Inter and Milan had asked about signing Bremer.

“Absolutely not. I have not spoken to anyone yet. Bremer is our player and I never thought about selling him in January.

“He is staying with us, but I haven’t spoken to anybody.”

It is reported that Torino are seeking an asking price of circa €25m for the 24-year-old centre-back, who joined the club from Atletico Mineiro in July 2018 for €5.8m.

As well as being a strong defender, Bremer also has an eye for goal, scoring twice and providing one assist in 16 Serie A appearances so far this season.

Milan are looking to Bremer after losing Simon Kjaer for six months to knee ligament surgery, while Inter are also interested in his services.

Several Premier League clubs have approached Toro in recent months to ask about the Brazilian, including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and now also Liverpool.
