Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori reacts to a tweet about Inter defender Stefan de Vrij’s own goal in the Derby della Madonnina. ‘We can pretend it was yours’.
The Rossoneri defender celebrated the equaliser against the local rivals on Sunday, when Milan and Inter drew 1-1 at San Siro.
Sandro Tonali’s free kick was for the former Chelsea centre-back, but instead De Vrij got the touch to nod into his own net.
The English defender celebrated as if he had scored the goal and SempreMilan sent him a comment on Twitter saying: “We can pretend it was yours.”
Tomori, who scored in the 3-0 win over Juventus on May 9 this year, is still searching for his second in the Rossoneri shirt and his first in 2021-22.
But he joked he would gladly to take the own goal from De Vrij and replied to the tweet: “I’m happy with this.”
