Milan saw their injury crisis go from bad to worse, as Fikayo Tomori limped off just 23 minutes into their Serie A trip to Lazio.

The Rossoneri had already been forced to reshuffle their back four when Theo Hernandez didn’t make the trip due to a muscular issue and he was replaced in the starting XI by Sergino Dest as a makeshift left-back.

Stefano Pioli had to make another change 23 minutes in at the Stadio Olimpico, as Tomori limped off clutching his left thigh.

The England international made way for Simon Kjaer, who formed a new centre-back partnership with Pierre Kalulu.

It is yet another injury for Milan, who already went into this game without Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

There are further problems preparing for this weekend’s Serie A meeting with Sassuolo, as Ismael Bennacer was booked for kicking the ball away after a foul and will be suspended for that match too.
