Spezia coach Thiago Motta expects more from his players after a home 1-0 loss against Udinese.

The Aquilotti have just one point after the opening three games of the season.

“I’m not satisfied, I can’t be satisfied even if a draw would have been a fair result,” the former midfielder said at a press conference.

“We had the opportunity to win, we created a few chances against a team that defends very well. We did not convert the chances we created and they won, so I am not satisfied.

“We’ve worked a lot, with great commitment, and we must continue. We have fans who come to the stadium to watch us and they want to watch some wins too,” the coach added.

“We can prove our worth. Those who arrived have a great chance in a team that is developing and is trying to gain Serie A survival.

“It is up to them to prove that they deserve to play and I will try to help them. Let’s think about the next game against Venezia.

“It will be a key game, like every game, like today’s game. We need points, today we had sometimes created trouble for Udinese, but it wasn’t enough we lost and we must do more.”
