“We are certainly not lacking motivation, as we are playing for three points and the ambition is always to win,” said the goalkeeper in his Press conference.

“We are certainly not lacking motivation, as we are playing for three points and the ambition is always to win,” said the goalkeeper in his Press conference.

“Italy are still a strong side, even if their results over the last few months have not been the best. The potential is there, tomorrow they will try to pick up a victory.”

Poland have Genoa striker Piatek on spectacular form, as he has scored 14 goals in 10 competitive games this season for club and country.

After this Italy clash, Piatek’s next match will be in Serie A against Szczesny’s Juventus.

“It seems as if every ball he touches goes into the net at the moment. I hope that he can continue this form tomorrow, but that it ends in six days…”

Lukasz Fabianski started Poland’s 3-2 defeat to Portugal and made several costly errors, but the rotation of goalkeepers continues throughout the Nations League.

“I try not to pay attention to pressure, as this sort of thing is created by the media. I just try to give my contribution, on and off the field.”
