Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has arrived in Italy to complete his move to Juventus.

The Polish international spent the past two seasons on loan with Roma, but the Giallorossi had no buyout clause in the deal.

He was immediately identified as a possible heir to Gianluigi Buffon, and a deal was finally reached yesterday for around €10m, with another €2m in bonuses.

This morning Szczesny has arrived in Turin to take his medical with the Bianconeri, ahead of signing a €3.5m per season contract.

Buffon plans to retire after the 2018 World Cup, so the new arrival will spend a season as backup before assuming the starting role.
