Reports continue to spread that Napoli are eager to swoop for Milan winger Suso and he could be replaced by Domenico Berardi.

The Spaniard had been linked with a move down south last season and again in January.

According to Tuttosport and Il Roma, among others, the Partenopei have set their sights on Suso and could even be prepared to pay the €38m release clause.

In turn, the former Liverpool man would be happy to join Maurizio Sarri’s men if Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Tuttosport suggest the Rossoneri have a plan for his replacement in the form of Sassuolo talent Berardi.

Now 23, Berardi still hasn’t quite flourished to fulfil his early potential, as he has struggled with injuries and a notorious temper.

He had the chance to move to Juventus, who had him in a co-ownership deal, but was unenthusiastic about the idea of having little playing time in Turin.

Inter and Napoli have also shown interest in Berardi, but his form this season has been very poor with only two goals and two assists in 23 Serie A games.

His record in the top flight is of 134 games, 45 goals and 35 assists, but also notably four red cards.
