The first leg ended 2-0 for the Gunners at San Siro, so the Rossoneri’s hopes of reaching the Europa League quarter-finals are slim.

“It didn’t go well at San Siro, but we have to try,” said Suso in his Press conference at the Emirates.

“It’ll be an entertaining game, because we have nothing to lose and must continue improving. We mustn’t care how Arsenal play, we just have to focus on ourselves.

“If we score a goal in the first half, that’ll be much better, because it can re-open the tie. We have to step on to the field without anxiety or feeling hasty to score a goal, because otherwise we’ll leave too many gaps for their rapid counter-attacks,

“We are playing against a great side in a lovely stadium, but it was more difficult personally for me to prepare against Genoa on Sunday and we did well there. If we play as a team tomorrow, I am sure we can have our chances.”

Suso has Premier League experience with Liverpool, so knows Arsenal have a reputation for throwing away leads or promising situations.

“Arsenal are not having their best period, but they have a fine Coach and players. If they focus, then they can improve. I was surprised to a degree, but not really.”

Juventus already knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the Champions League with an away victory, so can Milan take inspiration from them?

“Juve never give up and prepare games very carefully. Anyone who thought Tottenham would go through easily, even after drawing the first leg 2-2, doesn’t know Juve. They are strong in defence and attack, while their mentality makes the difference.

“I always thought Juventus would ultimately qualify for the quarter-finals.”
