Dejan Stankovic is confident victory over FC Twente will spark a series of Inter successes and bolster Rafa Benitez.

“It is very important to win tomorrow,” the midfielder told Belgrade newspaper Press.

“I am among those who think a victory leads into another. It would be good to end the negative trend, so we could make peace with our fans again.”

The Nerazzurri are in crisis after two consecutive Serie A defeats to Milan and Chievo, while their Champions League form was also hit in a 3-1 loss at Tottenham.

“We must always wear the shirt of a great club like Inter with pride.”

Thiago Motta returns to the squad to face Twente in tomorrow's must-win match, but the injury list remains lengthy.

Still absent are Julio Cesar, Douglas Maicon, Walter Samuel, Cristian Chivu, Coutinho, MacDonald Mariga, Diego Milito, Sulley Muntari, Joel Obi and David Suazo.

Samuel Eto'o will sit out the next three Serie A games after his ban for head-butting Chievo's Bostjan Cesar in the chest, but he is available for the Champions League.

With the shortage of players in defence, it is likely Marco Materazzi will partner Lucio as centre-back.

Ivan Cordoba challenges Davide Santon for the right-back slot.

Inter squad: Castellazzi, Orlandoni, Gallinetta; Cordoba, Zanetti, Lucio, Materazzi, Biraghi, Santon, Natalino; Stankovic, Thiago Motta, Sneijder, Cambiasso, Mancini, Nwankwo, Crisetig; Eto'o, Pandev, Biabiany
