President Rosella Sensi dubbed their triumph over Bayern Munich “a game that will go down in Roma history.”

The Giallorossi completed a spectacular comeback from 2-0 down at the break to win 3-2.

“This game will go down in Roma history and we will all remember tonight's three goals,” said Sensi at the Stadio Olimpico.

Marco Borriello got one back straight after the restart, then Daniele De Rossi equalised and three minutes later substitute Francesco Totti converted the decisive penalty.

“Francesco is always important, probably more than anyone. However, he is not on his own and isn't the only player out there. The whole team deserves credit.

“Leaving the stadium with a victory like this against Bayern makes us very proud.”

Sensi also commented on the fact Roma completed the comeback after throwing on Totti to work with Borriello, Jeremy Menez and Mirko Vucinic.

“At the end we proved that we can play with four strikers, but of course we always respect the decisions of the Coach.”
