According to reports, Roma have already secured their first new signing of 2023, as Ola Solbakken is flying in next week to complete his free transfer from Bodo/Glimt.

The 24-year-old is currently on international duty with Norway and is due to play Finland in a friendly in Oslo on Sunday.

Il Tempo newspaper maintains he will fly directly from Oslo to Rome on Monday, where he can have his medical and sign the contract with Roma.

The attacking right-sided winger has two senior caps for Norway under his belt.

His contract with Bodo/Glimt is due to expire on December 31, so if Roma want to use him before that date in mid-season friendly tests, they will need permission from the Norwegian club first.

Bodo/Glimt faced Roma repeatedly in the Conference League last season, winning 6-1 at home, but then losing the quarter-finals.

In the three games he played against the Giallorossi, Solbakken contributed three goals.

So far this season, Solbakken has contributed four goals and eight assists in 23 competitive games.

  1. Brodo are still fuming after the lesson they were given in the Conference league, they will 100% not give that permission!
