A potential Cristiano Ronaldo return to Serie A for Roma, Napoli or others could be aided by Manchester United terminating his contract rather than having to negotiate a sale.

The former Juventus star hit the headlines for days after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, in which he lambasted the Premier League club, its coaches, owners and even his teammates.

Manchester United confirmed with a statement they have “initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview.”

According to various sources including The Athletic, the Daily Mail and more, Manchester United lawyers are taking care of the situation and believe Ronaldo has breached the terms of his contract.

That would allow them to sack him and tear up the agreement without paying an extra penny.

Ronaldo must’ve known full well this was a possibility and therefore saw it as an ideal opportunity to make a clean break from Old Trafford.

It means he can negotiate his own salary and contractual terms when joining another club as a free agent ahead of the January window.

CR7 has been linked with a possible return to Italy, but not for Juventus, as Napoli and Jose Mourinho’s Roma are interested in the striker.

  1. A reunion with Mourinho at Roma is possible.
    Napoli is very unlikely.
He’s 37, so the best you could do is squeeze one more season out of him, he’s still Ronaldo.

  2. To AI: its simply Kvaradonas childhood hero, idol. Kvaradona will make Napoli ultimatum to save his hero from this ugly sitation where Man.U put him this season, made total rubbish from him, black sheep. But Kvaradona and Napoli will save him

  3. CALMAAA!!!

He must return to the 7/9. He left with unfinished business and must complete his defensive training under Obi Wan Max. Shout out to that girl from Fishland. Always serious and must need a diaper change.

  4. I believe he was seeking this, his next team don’t need to pay Man u now! You don’t say these stuff and expect to carry on life in Manchester afterwards!
