Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is expected to renew his Lazio contract, but Juventus are looking to do a deal for next summer.

The midfielder was wanted by a host of top clubs this summer, but the Aquile’s €150m asking price put off all suitors.

While Real Madrid could still theoretically sign the Serbian, Lazio spokesman Arturo Diaconale had said it’s “99 per cent certain” he’ll stay, and Tuttosport believes he’ll sign a new contract.

The Biancocelesti had guaranteed approved terms if Milinkovic-Savic stayed, and an offer is on the table to double his salary to €3m.

However, the newspaper reports that it could be little more than a one-year wage boost, as Juventus are working on a deal for next summer.

Agent Mateja Kezman is said to be working with Jorge Mendes as an intermediary, as the super-agent has strong links with the Bianconeri after Joao Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Turin this summer.

The Old Lady had planned to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer, but when Ronaldo became available the deal was delayed for budgetary reasons.

Milan are also interested, but it’s thought Juve are very much in pole position.
