Roma‘s deal to sign Georginio Wijnaldum is being held up as the two clubs discuss the terms of the loan, according to reports in Italy.

The Netherlands international is reportedly on verge of completing a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

And while most Italian media outlets agree a deal is near, Sky Italia report there are delays due to negotiations over the terms of the loan.

The report suggests PSG are holding up the deal by regularly altering their demands.

Roma would like the loan to include the option to make permanent, while the French side want the clause to be an obligation, the report adds.

In the report it suggests talks will continue in the hope of reaching a compromise.

Wijnaldum, who won the Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time with Liverpool, joined PSG last summer on a free transfer.

However, despite winning Ligue 1, appeared to endure a frustrating 12 months.
