Salernitana are looking to pull off the impossible in their bid to fight off relegation this season; the Salerno side currently sit 10 points behind 17th place Cagliari, and so tonight’s match is a must-win fixture for Stefano Colantuono’s side.
Spezia currently sit 15th in the Serie A table, seven points ahead of 18th place Venezia, and so a win tonight would further consolidate their spot in the Italian topflight. The Ligurian side are in strong form, having won four of their last five league outings under coach Thiago Motta.
Spezia won the first meeting between the two sides earlier this season, with goals from David Strelec and Viktor Kovalenko securing the three points.
