Demetrio Albertini and Carlo Tavecchio are the two names in contention to replace Giancarlo Abete as the head of the Italian Football Federation.
But Sport Mediaset have revealed that the men and women at the top of teams in Serie A are currently at odds as to who should be appointed.

Some of the older heads however, like Claudio Lotito and Enrico Preziosi of Lazio” data-scaytid=”21″>Lazio and Genoa respectively, think that Tavecchio would be a better, more conservative option.
They are currently meeting this evening to try and come to a compromise, ahead of an election on August 11.
