It seems that Serie A leaders are split on who should be the next President of the FIGC.

Demetrio Albertini and Carlo Tavecchio are the two names in contention to replace Giancarlo Abete as the head of the Italian Football Federation.

But Sport Mediaset have revealed that the men and women at the top of teams in Serie A are currently at odds as to who should be appointed.

Juventus’” data-scaytid=”12″>Juventus’ Andrea Agnelli, Milan’s Barbara Berlusconi, James Pallotta of Roma and a host of others believe that the game on the peninsula needs a complete overhaul – and thus, think that Albertini is the ideal man.

Some of the older heads however, like Claudio Lotito and Enrico Preziosi of Lazio” data-scaytid=”21″>Lazio and Genoa respectively, think that Tavecchio would be a better, more conservative option.

They are currently meeting this evening to try and come to a compromise, ahead of an election on August 11.
