Some highlights include Week 15, which has both the Rome Derby and Napoli v Inter.

The Milan Derby is in Week 13, the Genoa Derby in Week 9 and the Turin showdown in Week 16.

Potential Scudetto showdowns between Napoli and Juventus are set for the weekends of October 30 and April 2.

Crotone are having their first ever top flight season, joining Cagliari and Pescara in being promoted from Serie B.

The rules of the draw prevented any of the four city derbies from being assigned to midweek rounds.

As part of the event, the Lega Serie A also awarded Gonzalo Higuain with the best goal of 2015-16 for his overhead kick against Frosinone.

That strike allowed the Napoli striker to shatter the Serie A record with 36 in 35 games.

It opens with two spectacular clashes, as Juventus-Fiorentina is an age-old rivalry and Milan-Torino sees Sinisa Mihajlovic face his former club.
