However, there has been a recent upswing in spectators going to Italian stadia, with the average attendance rising year-on-year since 16-17.
Inter lead the way this season with an average attendance of 63,697 fans per game.
City neighbours Milan sit in second place with an average of 53,917, while Juventus rank third with 39,740.
