Serie A has announced its winter dates for this season, with matches spanning across Christmas and New Year.

It comes after Serie A pledged to scrap its winter break before the start of the campaign, instead opting for a week off between January 7 and 20.

Games will also be played on January 6, which marks the traditional Italian celebration of Befana – similar to the phenomenon of Santa Claus.
