Patrik Schick says he is enjoying life at RB Leipzig, where there is “less pressure” and “more anonymity” than at Roma.

Schick remains Roma’s record signing at €42m but struggled to deal with the high stakes of the Olimpico, scoring just five goals in two seasons.

He chose to relaunch himself at Leipzig over the summer, although he has so far managed just 27 minutes of Bundesliga football this term.

“Here I have the possibility of playing in an atmosphere with less pressure than at Roma,” he told Bild.

“I have the possibility of being more anonymous here than in the capital. The Coach [Julian] Nagelsmann played a key role in me coming here.

“He’d already approached me when he was coaching Hoffenheim and I was still at Bohemians.

“We were in contact for a long time and we often only talk about football.”
